No VISA required for US citizens

According to the U.S. Department of State, citizens of the [United States], Austria, Australia, Canada, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland may travel to France and [within the whole Schengen space] for a period of no more than 90 days for tourism or business purposes, without a visa.

Children traveling alone

Minors may be able to travel to another country without either one of their parents. They may however require a notarized written consent letter from both parents. Minors interested in traveling without their parents should contact the embassy to address admissibility questions.
